A photographer since 1976, musician since 1979 and an electrical engineer for 27 years combine to form an eclectic combination in the way I see the world through a camera. Of course I photograph many of the usual things in life, but my interests often draw me towards offbeat subjects.
As someone old enough to know what happens to pennies when immersed in spent fixer, I relish the memories of the Canon F1, Mamiya C33, Beseler enlargers and filling binders full of negatives. I’ve only somewhat recently made the move to digital and have not looked back.
This site is a catalog of my digital captures of the various goings on in and around the bucolic Fauquier county, Virginia. My wife and I cover A LOT of sports and regularly pull out interesting moments for the sports gallery.
Astronomy has been and still is a fascinating favorite of mine (remember Kohoutek?) and Fauquier provides the dark skies to enjoy it. Lacking a large telescope, I focus on naked eye views of the heavens during particular astronomical moments.
Farming is everywhere here and I love to capture the life cycle of the local fields from spring to fall… from herbicide to harvest.
Please bear with me as I sort through the thousands of images to find ones of interest to put here for RM consideration.
